The Universe

I am take part in the challenge of Ivona Posavi Pšak!  We had to do something circle. I worked and watched the Discovery Channel. So there was this pendant - the Universe. I display all the 4 elements: fire (garnet), earth (copper), air (space), water (silver waves), and even plants and stars. The first time I used the copper and silver together in one creation.

It is the god of fertility and love. This is what gives us the strength to live and to create.
I've been working on this project. At first I conceived it as a bracelet. But then abandoned the idea and decided to make a necklace.

I used solder only to create a circle. I drew a picture of Kokopelli marker and cut out his jewelry saw. I tied the center circle to the base using a thin wire

Some steps in the process: 

My morning.

My day starts with sports, music and apple. A esch I love a warm shower, coffee and chat with friends. Then I start working at my desk. There all is left in the form in which I left in the evening.

Big trip to Ukraine.

This is a short story about a big trip for me and my family in our country Ukraine. We drove 2300 miles, visited 5 cities, 4 castle, 2 waterfalls, mountains, canyon, cave and found a lot of friends.
It was wonderful! :)

Penadant Leaf - tutorial

This tutorial is about making a bezel for cabochon. Price - 7$

Convenient location for soldering

If you do not have a workshop, but you really want to soldering metal  - you must do what is necessary to preserve your health.
Mask, goggles, gloves and apron: protect from dirt and metal shavings. It is simply indispensable when working with an engraver.

But the mask will not protect you from metal vapor flux. This is very dangerous for health. You have to work under a fume hood. My husband gave me a comfortable place for soldering of the metal housing of the computer, crimping pipes and kitchen hood.

It looks like my kitchen on a normal day:

I shoot with a metal mesh cooker hood. And now I add a special design to the hood.

Came very safe and comfortable. 

On board is a metal tray for soldering. To the right are all the necessary tools.

I use citric acid to clean the wire. I heat it in a small saucepan.
